An integral part of staying healthy and fit is activity. At our center we have exercise equipment and classes to keep you fit in mind and body.
Pickleball- Monday 4:30-7:30 pm and Friday 8-10 am
Pickleball is played on Monday nights from 4:30-7:30 pm for intermediate players and Friday morning from 8 - 10 am for beginners.
Tai Chi- Thursday 10-11 am
Tai Chi began in China in the 1600’s in martial arts. Tai Chi is taught by Byron Garner at Golden Hours. Benefits include: increase strength, balance, posture; prevents falls; improves mind, body and spirit; reduces stress and increases relaxation. In this class we take our time to be safe and smooth. “There’s no hurry in Tai Chi”. Come and try the class! New students are welcome a half an hour (9:30 am) before class to get extra instruction. This class is held in our Gymnasium.
Tai Ji Quan- Monday and Wednesday 10- 11 am
Tai Ji Quan is created to improve balance. It is taught by Debbie Barnes and is a 6-month course. Sign up required, space is limited. This class begins January 4th, 2023, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am. It is held in our Gymnasium.
Chair Yoga- Balance and Fitness- Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 & 3:30 pm
Low impact! Both classes have many health benefits including improved flexibility, better circulation, strengthening of muscles, improved balance, and stress relief. It is taught by Claudette Halverson in our Gymnasium.
Zumba- Tuesday from 10- 11 am
Zumba is a great way to get exercise by dance and aerobic movements, performed to all kinds of music. Come join the party! Class will be held in the Gymnasium near the stage on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 am.
Intermediate Line Dancing- Friday 10-11:30
