The Ogden City Council elected Marcia L. White as Council Chair and Richard Hyer as Vice Chair for 2017 during the January 3rd City Council meeting.
Chair White was elected to the City Council in 2013 and served as Chair in 2016 and Vice Chair in 2015. Vice Chair Hyer was elected in 2011 and served as Chair in 2014 and 2015.
“There has been so much progress in Ogden during the past several years, and I am eager for the continued opportunity to work closely with Council members to bring forward their ideas,” Chair White said. “As we continue to work together as a Council and collaborate with Mayor Caldwell and elected officials throughout the county and state, we can build upon Ogden’s impressive success.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in Council leadership with Chair White,” Vice Chair Hyer said. “I have the utmost respect for my fellow Council members and appreciate their many contributions to our community. I look forward to working with each of them to develop a collective vision for the Council and improve communication amongst Council members.”
